Youth empowerment is a process where children and young people are encouraged to take charge of their lives. They do this by addressing their situation and then take action in order to improve their access to resources and transform their consciousness through their beliefs, values, and attitudes.

Child Rights

In 2003, Nigeria adopted the Child Rights Act to domesticate the Convention on the Rights of the Child. In spite of the fact that this law was passed at the Federal level, it is just successful if State Assemblies likewise order it. To date, just 16 of the nation's 36 States have passed the Act.
