Sarah Adebisi Sosan Foundation embarked on her 4th annual Food Support Program on Saturday, 21st December 2019 where raw food items like Semovita, Rice, Spaghetti, Salt were donated to over 750 rural riverine communities dwellers of Irewe and other 25 communities  which includes Okolundun, Erekun, Itogbesa, Ojorin, Ibode, Ponpokun, Petepete, Imoba, Tafi, igboja, Agonu, Orufo, Aale Muwo, Okun Fiaiku, Okun tete, Egira, Okun kobo, Alaguntan, Igbolobi, Isahayi of Ojo local Government area in Lagos State. This is usually done every year to make the less privileges happy during the Yuletide season. Sponsors and supporters of the food support 2019 are Dangote Foundation, Caverton Groups, Famfa Oil and Redwood Consulting Ltd.

PROGRAM ACTIVITY

The Food Support Program which was held at Irewe kingdom was a massive one on Saturday 21st December, 2019 where over 750 rural riverine community dwellers gathered to collect raw food items packaged and donated by Sarah Adebisi Sosan Foundation.

Opening prayer was said by Alhaji Semilu, the community liaison officer of the foundation, after a brief talk was given by Ms Feyikemi Fabiyi, the representative of Sarah Adebisi Sosan Foundation.

His Royal Majesty, the Osolu of Irewe Kingdom, Oba Abideen Adekanbi Durosinmi also graced the program and all the Baales from other communities were present. HRM Oba Abideen Adekanbi Durosinmi opened the distribution of the food gift items to the communities’ dwellers and distributions of the items was later taken over by the staff and volunteers of the foundation.

Also, on the 25th December which was on the Christmas day, Sarah Adebisi Sosan Foundation also deem it fit to reach out to the street boys at Obalende under bridge, garage and Falomo garage at Eti-Osa Local Government of Lagos by feeding them on the Christmas day in other to show them love during the yuletide season. 450 people street boys were fed.

Moreover Sarah Adebisi Sosan Foundation also reached out to 2 different orphanage homes on the 11th January namely Precious Pearl Orphanage and compassionate orphanage in Lagos through donations of food items and groceries.
